Adrian Peterson facing more accusations

Adrian Peterson, star running back of the Minnesota Vikings is facing felony charges in Texas for abuse of his four-year-old son.  Peterson apologized in a statement on Monday saying he did not intend to harm his son and said he is "without a doubt, not a child abuser." Just days after the initial accusation, the mother of a second son, also four years old, has come forward with information regarding a second incident. Peterson's attorney holds that these additional accusations are false, and were "shopped around" to authorities in two states - never leading to a full investigation.

Sponsors are already reacting to this latest NFL news. Radisson hotels has suspended its sponsorship of the Minnesota Vikings following news of Adrian Peterson's child abuse charges. The chain says it takes the matter very seriously and will be suspending its sponsorship of the team until they have the opportunity to evaluate all of the facts.

Peterson is expected to this weekend against the New Orleans Saints after being deactivated for last Sunday's game against the Patriots. The NFL has released a statement saying they will let the legal process play out before reviewing his case under the NFL's personal conduct policy.
