SU Falls to Rival UConn

Thursday night was a rough one for the Syracuse Orange - they lost and clearly need to use spell check more often. Buddy Boeheim, son of Syracuse’s basketball coach Jim Boeheim, was wearing a misspelled jersey throughout the night which referred to him as “Boheim.”

The Huskies and Orangemen have been rivals for years and there was no shortage of personality on the court last night. Much of that came from the Huskies new coach, Dan Hurley, who came to the team just seven months ago and so far has led the team in an undefeated season.

"It's a perfect match,'' Connecticut guard Jalen Adams told Syracuse.com. "His personality connects perfectly with a lot of our personalities."

Hurley came to UConn from Rhode Island after taking the Rams to two consecutive NCAA tournament appearances. Whatever his strategy is, it seems to be working. The Huskies were on the Orange from the start and didn’t let up throughout the game, ending with a score of 83-76. Time will tell if Hurley’s fierce personality and program are enough to take UConn through to March Madness.
